Kangding, located about 320 kilometers west of Chengdu, is a beautiful Tibetan town known as the ‘Gateway to Tibet’. It is famous for its stunning mountain scenery, rich Tibetan culture, and the song ‘Kangding Love Song’ made it known worldwide.
Kangding has been an important trading town on the Tea Horse Road for centuries. It was the capital of the Tibetan kingdom of Kham and has a rich history of Tibetan culture and traditions.
